The individual skills competition consists of six events – short putt, long putt, chip, pitch, iron and wood shot. Athletes get 5 shots per event to score points and are added together for a final score. A hybrid club may be used for either the iron shot or the wood shot but cannot be used for both events. Athletes are allowed to tee the ball up on the iron and wood shot and if they need assistance the volunteer is allowed to help them tee the ball. More information on the setup and scoring can be found in the SOI Golf Rules (pages 6 – 13).
